Using an ERP system VS. Quickbooks
A lot of times, when new brands are starting out, they always ask the question if they can just use Quickbooks to manage their wholesale operations instead of a dedicated ERP system. We like to follow the saying, “Start as you intend to go on.”
While Quickbooks is one of the best software’s out there for accounting purposes, it just does not have the configuration or tools to fully manage a wholesale back office operation. That is why we always recommend going with an ERP system that specializes in wholesale operations. It provides many features that allow for a streamlined process. It allows for users to manage inventory, enter orders, create pick tickets, and invoices all in one place, with the ability to connect to outside interfaces such as Shopify, 3rd Party Logistic warehouses, and Quickbooks as well.
